The eight Gods of Metal, by the names they are known by on earth (in no particular order):

* Kirk Hammet (Lead/Metallica)
* Layne Stanley (Vocals/Alice in Chains & Mad Season)
* Jerry Cantrell (Guitars & Vocals/Alice in Chains)
* Sean Kinney (Drums/Alice in Chains)
* Mike Inez (Bass & Guitar/Alice in Chains)
These eight "Men" have changed music for ever.

I must make note, that on the first three Metallica CD's (Kill 'Em All, Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets)
Cliff Burton was the bass player. He died in 1986 in a bus crash. Had he still
been alive today, he would also make it onto the Gods of Metal page.
